Artist Paul Harfleet’s interest lies in the implications of citizenship and its influence on navigation and memory of the urban environment. He augments and re-contextualises various sites and objects by allocating them with new meaning or significance often through drawing, photography and intervention.

The Pansy Project
I devised The Pansy Project two years ago. I plant pansies wherever I have experienced homophobic abuse throughout the streets, I then photograph the pansy in situ then entitle it after the abuse, above; "Heh! queer Boy!!", was planted on Cross Street, Manchester, all the pansies I planted are then posted on my website.
