One For Sorrow

'One for Sorrow' was a video work shown at Apartment for the inaugural show; this one minute single shot focused on the dead magpie for a single minute whilst the soundtrack consisted of passing road traffic noise. This work was one component of a work entitled;' I had a dream I found a dead magpie outside my flat then I did'. As the title suggests I found the above magpie outside my flat. On finding it I kept the bird in my freezer whilst I decided what I did with it. Eventually I made the above video, I drew the bird and then placed the magpie back where I initially found it during the first opening at Apartment; this implied a deja vu that echoed my own experience of finding the bird.
